Activate standard inxex of a table

Hii....

     I have implemented an enhancement where and i  am passing XBLNR in MKPF table, which is causing system slower.

i checked in se11 where already an index is present but its not active. i tried to activate it but its not getting active. so should i create new index with XBLNR od i there any way to activate the standard index.
