Re: Purchase Order Tax Information
Hi Arun,
Thanks for your reply, regarding this data source, it seems that I can only utilize this data source provided that the source documents such as (Supplier Invoices and Customer Invoices are generated), is there a data source which stores information before invoices are generated, or this data source is actually storing such data but I misinterpreted it?

Re: Example - If control Exist
There are two ways you could do this. Your way is to look for a control on the screen you get to if there's no problem with the order. Something like this would work:
if(session.idExists("wnd[0]/usr/ctxtCAUFVD-AUFNR")) {
// All OK, carry on...
}
You could also look for the error message itself, like this:
if(session.findById("wnd[0]/sbar").messageType == "E") {
// Something wrong
} else {
// All OK...
}
Does that help?
Steve.

Re: Customer Invoice -How to select different Form Template for one customer invoice
Hi Lynni,
Edit Output Setting is available in Invoice Documents -> Edit Invoice-> View All->You can also where you can select desired template. But not on Invoice Documents table.
There are two options:
1. Go to View All and change template manually each time you want to print
(If you want Edit Output Setting on Invoice Documents table, please request SAP)
2. Add two invoice designs in one invoice template (with Adobe LC designer). (recommended)

Re: How to change a user name from already created Dimensions
Hi Ravi,
I agree with Vadim. If next time something is wrong with that Dimension, how will you know who made that last change?
If that "generic" ID is created as user ID you have to develop some "out of BPC" procedure that tracks who has access to that ID. Than login with that ID and make changes. System will keep that ID as "last changed".

Re: SAP HCM Interview Question Answers
Re: SAP Mobile upgrade SP08 -> SP10 without a downtime
Hi,
SAP Mobile Platform is connected to a database. At some point of the upgrade of SAP Mobile Platform, a record is written to the database saying that a node is being upgraded, which creates a mismatch in the database and makes the whole SAP Mobile system (including the second node) unavailable. Therefore, the idea would be creating a copy of the database and "rerouting" the traffic to this database. Then running an upgrade. Then reconnecting back to the original database.
Would that work?
Thanks

Re: SAP Gateway for transactional interfaces?
Hi Atanu,
Thanks for the details.
1. Could you please suggest more on the Draft concept in S/4 HANA apps ?
2. Also for achieving concurrency control one of the Fiori application is using locks at table level and clear the expired locks by a background process.
Excerpt from the Note '2110680 - Background process to clean up session state'
"The standard SAP locking mechanism uses the enqueue server. The lifetime of an enqueue lock is bound to
the ABAP user session in which it was created - with other words: the ABAP user session is the "owner" of
the lock. If an ABAP user session ends, all locks owned by this ABAP user session will be deleted.
The Fiori applications use OData services for backend communication. For each OData HTTP request a new
ABAP user session is created and terminated directly after the response is serialized, or if an error has
occurred. This means, that at the end of each request all enqueue locks are gone. As of today it is not
possible to set an enqueue lock which survives the end of a standard OData HTTP call.
Therefore locks are stored in a database table and outdated locks must be deleted periodically by a
background process.
Solution
Define a background job for event SAP_SYSTEM_START starting report FDC_START_TIMERDAEMON.
No parameter and variant are required.
The report will start a background process (daemon ) as an asynchronous RFC - visible in SM04 with title
"FDC: Timer Daemon" in transaction SM04. Every 5 minutes the daemon will clean up sessions, that were
not updated the last 120 minutes.
Additionally schedule the background job e.g. every hour, to check, that the daemon is still running."
Also i found one interesting reference in Fiori for implementing locks.

Could you please suggest your thoughts here ?
